Our Background
In the jubilee year for Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Uganda [2024], a group of Christians in appreciation for the fruits of the renewal in their lives, formed Paraclete Charity Foundation Uganda. The word “Paraclete” comes from the Greek word “Paraklētos,” which means “one who is called to someone’s side” or “advocate” or “comforter.” Jesus uses this term to refer to the Holy Spirit in John 14:16-17. Paraclete Charity Foundation Uganda was founded as a Christian-based organization that seeks to support orphans, vulnerable children and youth in Uganda. The organization’s primary goal is to uphold Christian values through establishing a firm foundation to serve the nation.
