Testimony of Maria Ndagire in Scotland
Packing up one’s life and moving a thousand miles away is not easy — it’s lonely, risky, and often scary. After receiving the Mastercard Foundation Scholarship to study at the University of Edinburgh, I was fortunate to meet Fr. Ronald Kyambadde, who became my spiritual mentor. His guidance and prayers were instrumental in helping me navigate this life-changing transition.
Fr. Ronald constantly checked in on me, offered encouragement, and reminded me that I wasn’t alone. His spiritual mentorship gave me the strength to keep going, even in the most challenging moments.
Through the Paraclete Foundation, I believe many more young men and women will not only find scholarships and opportunities but also a nurturing community of spiritual mentorship. That kind of support brings enormous peace and makes all the difference during such a big transition

MY JOURNEY WITH PARACLETE CHARITY FOUNDATION
In our journeys through life, we are often blessed with individuals who shine a guiding light during our most formative and uncertain moments. For me, one of those guiding lights has been Paraclete Charity Foundation, an organization that reached into my life at a crucial time—thanks to Father Kyambadde Ronald, through whom I was connected to this life-giving foundation.
During my time at university, when life was full of new beginnings, challenges, and questions, I encountered Father Kyambadde. What began as a student seeking spiritual nourishment soon blossomed into a relationship rooted in mentorship, care, and profound spiritual guidance. I was blessed to become his Goddaughter, a bond that has shaped my life in ways words can scarcely capture.
Through Father Kyambadde, I was introduced to Paraclete Charity Foundation, an extension of the compassionate care he exemplified. The foundation became a pillar of support, especially in moments when I faced financial difficulties. Through their generous interventions—made possible by Father Kyambadde’s referral and guidance—I never went hungry, nor did I lack the basic necessities of student life. Their support reminded me constantly of Christ’s love in action.
Beyond spiritual and material support, the impact of both Father Kyambadde’s mentorship and Paraclete Charity Foundation’s generosity has left a deep imprint on my heart. Their combined love and compassion are testaments to the power of faith expressed through action.
Today, I write this not only to appreciate the role both Father Kyambadde and the Paraclete Charity Foundation have played in my life, but also to recognize and celebrate the many ways they continue to impact others. Spiritual fatherhood is a rare and beautiful calling, and Father Kyambadde embodies it with dignity and love. The foundation he connected me to carries that same spirit in service to others.
Thank you, Paraclete Charity Foundation, for your support. And thank you, Father, for being my light, my guide, and my spiritual rock. The world is brighter because of souls like yours and foundations like Paraclete. I am forever thankful for the honor of being part of this journey.

A Journey of Resilience and Gratitude
As I sit here, reflecting on my educational journey, I am filled with a mix of emotions, gratitude, relief, and joy. My story is one of perseverance, hard work, and the kindness of strangers.
Growing up, my family faced significant financial challenges. My mother, despite her best efforts, struggled to make ends meet. As a result, paying school fees was a constant struggle. There were times when I had to exchange hard labor for school fees, just to stay in school. My mother had agreed with the school principal to pay half the fees and provide labor for the entire term to settle the remaining dues.
Despite these challenges, I remained determined to succeed. I worked hard, and my academic performance earned me a spot at Kyambogo University. However, the financial struggles persisted.
It was during my time at university that I discovered the Paraclete charity Foundation that offers financial assistance to students struggling with completing school tuition. This incredible organization offered me a half bursary for the entire three years of my studies. I was overjoyed and relieved, knowing that this support would ease the financial burden on my family.
The Paraclete charity Foundation’s generosity was more than just financial support – it was a vote of confidence in me. It reminded me that there were people who believed in my potential and were willing to invest in my future.
Today, as I look back on my journey, I am filled with gratitude. I am grateful to the Paraclete charity Foundation for their kindness and support. I am grateful to my mother for her unwavering dedication and hard work. And I am grateful to myself for persevering through the tough times.
I graduated on December 12th, 2024, with a sense of pride and accomplishment. I know that I would not have made it without the support of the Paraclete charity Foundation.
As I look to the future, I am excited to pursue my next goal, earning a Master’s degree in Gender Studies. I am passionate about promoting gender equality and empowering women and girls in my community. Through my studies, I hope to gain a deeper understanding of the complex issues surrounding gender and to develop effective strategies for creating positive change.
Some of my specific goals include:
Conducting research: I plan to conduct research on the intersection of gender, poverty, and education in Uganda, with the aim of identifying effective solutions to address these issues.
Developing community programs: I hope to develop and implement community-based programs that promote gender equality, empower women and girls, and provide education and economic opportunities.
Advocating for policy change: I aim to use my knowledge and expertise to advocate for policy changes that promote gender equality and address the root causes of poverty and inequality.
To the Paraclete charity Foundation, I say thank you. Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for investing in my future. And thank you for helping me achieve my dreams.
My story is a testament to the power of kindness, generosity, and determination. I hope that it inspires others to persevere through their own challenges and to never give up on their dreams.

A Beacon of Hope in Kotido: Paraclete Charity’s Life-Changing Support for Orphaned and Disadvantaged Youth
Earlier this year, a new chapter of hope was written in the Diocese of Kotido when Paraclete Charity Foundation extended its generous hand to young orphaned and disadvantaged children. What began as a seed of compassion has quickly grown into a powerful force of transformation, as more than 10 students, 5 girls and 5 boys, are now being sponsored in Bethesda Primary School and St. Daniel Comboni Primary School.
This initiative has not only eased the burden of vulnerable families but has also rekindled a sense of pride and belonging within the wider community. Parents, guardians, and leaders have witnessed the light of possibility shining in the eyes of children who once faced uncertainty. Indeed, education has become the bridge that carries these young souls from despair to dignity, from poverty to promise.
The impact of this program is already clear: children who might have dropped out of school due to hardship are now able to dream again. They are learning, growing, and preparing to become leaders who will, in turn, uplift both the Church and the community. Truly, the Paraclete initiative is not just about paying school fees—it is about building lives, shaping futures, and nurturing faith.
Yet, as with every noble mission, sustainability remains key. For this dream to continue blossoming, it needs consistent nurturing. Each child supported today carries within them the potential to become a responsible adult, a servant leader, and a pillar of the Church tomorrow. The generosity of sponsors is not just an investment in education; it is an investment in the Kingdom of God here on earth.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the sponsors whose generosity has made this possible. Your love and sacrifice are bearing fruits beyond what words can capture. You are raising future priests, teachers, doctors, and community builders. You are planting seeds of hope in the Diocese of Kotido that will continue to bear fruit for generations to come.
We encourage you to continue walking with us in this journey. With your ongoing support, we can reach even more children who are still waiting for a chance. Together, we can create a self-sustaining program that will ensure no child in Kotido is denied the right to education because of poverty.
May God bless you abundantly for the light you bring into the lives of His little ones
